All the log-ins details that you need to access various Library resources at DBS will be emailed to you shortly after you register with the college. You must activate your college email account to access this email (e.g. 1234567@mydbs.ie). If you did not receive this email to your mydbs.ie email account please contact the Library or follow the following format/procedure when logging-on to the various resources:
PCs: The first time you log in, enter your student number for both the username and password. You will then be prompted to create your own password. Henceforth your log-in details will be as follows:
- Username: student number
- Password: ‘password of your own choice’
Library Account: via the Library Catalogue
- Reader number: student number
- PIN (Password) The same password that you use to login to PCs ( see above)
Please note that if you change your PC login password, this changes your password to access your library account.
If you have forgotten or are unsure of your password, please contact the library.
Online Databases: - log-in needed off-campus only
- Username: student number
- Password: date of birth – dd/mm/yyyy
Passwords are not required when
searching databases on campus.
