Once you register as a DBS student, you are automatically a member of the Library. Your DBS student card entitles you to access the Library and to borrow Library materials. Academic staff members must contact the Library to be registered, after which they will be issued with a Library staff card which entitles them to access the Library and to borrow materials.

DBS library has various membership rates and services for DBS Graduates to offer you the services that fit you best. We are aware that while some of you may wish to borrow library items, others may only want to use the library as study space. For this reason we offer two types of Alumni Membership: the Alumni Borrower membership and the Alumni Reader membership.
An Alumni Borrower has access to both libraries and can borrow up to 4 library items with an option to renew them 5 times. Alumni Library members can also access the Library's electronic information resources on campus. Off campus access to EBSCO 's Academic Search and Business Source Alumni Editions is also available,as well as Dawsonera, the Library e-book collection To access Academic Search Alumni Edition please click here and to access Business Source Alumni Edition please click here (login details will be given to you when you register).
An Alumni Reader is entitled to use both libraries for study purpose and has on-campus access to all the library online resources.
We also understand that some students may wish to use the library services at different times. Thus we are also offering to Alumni members the choice of:
1 Year Membership (which includes a special renewal rate)
6 Months Membership
Summer Membership (June – September)
Monthly membership

DBS Alumni Library members can access a wide range of library resources,
can avail the Library's extensive opening hours as well as the

For this reason we have offer two types of External memberships: the External Borrower membership and the External Reader membership.
An External Borrower has access to both libraries and can borrow up to 4 library items with an option to renew them up to 5 times. An External Borrower can also use all our online resources on-campus and has off-campus to Dawsonera, the Library e-book collection.
An External Reader is entitled to use both libraries for study purpose and has on-campus access to all the library online resources.
